Water proof Plywood
Plywood that can withstand extreme conditions of weather and remain stable under dry and wet spells is especially bonded with marine grade Boiling Water Proof (BWR) resins. This type of plywood is considered as of water proof grade. Such water proof plywood is also borer and termite proof.
The water proof plywood is mainly used under indoor conditions where, there are chances of occasional water splash, wet wiping or when the moisture amount is usually high inside the enclosed space. Water proof plywood is better than moisture resistance grade plywood or the conventional wood. In India the BWR grade plywood is considered as the plywood meant for limited water proofing (block board category) and is different from the heavy-duty marine grade plywood, which are more sturdy and suitable for constructing boat canoe of various sizes and types. The water proof plywood is marked with ‘BWR’ for easy reorganization. For outdoor or exterior application it is preferable to use the marine grade plywood that can withstand the extreme and constant or alternate water or heat exposures
